Mike Tully lives and works in New York. He works independently and in collaboration with artists, architects, institutions, and publishers on works spanning artifacts, exhibitions, identities, publications, websites, and writing.

In 2022, he graduated with an MFA from the Yale School of Art, where he was awarded the Critical Practice Research Fellowship and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library Research Fellowship.

He has worked as the Design Director for the Brooklyn Rail and with The New York Times, Wolff Olins, Lincoln Center, and various New York-based studios. In spring of 2023, he was artist-in-residence at the Internet Archive in San Francisco. In addition to his studio practice, he occasionally teaches, lectures, facilitates workshops, and visits as a critic at various art and design programs across the US. Currently, he teaches at Pratt Institute and Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
